The calculations and discussion questions are to be done independently. You will have to  find the necessary information on the Internet or

using library resources. Use Microsoft Office tools for your report. Clearly indicate your reference material on the last sheet. The

assignment will require some research. Your textbook will also be a valuable source of information, and will be required for the quantitative

questions. Provide an electronic and hardcopy on or prior to the due date. Part print drawings are available on the coursesite.

250,000 gray cast iron plates need to be manufactured. All dimensions on the part print are in mm. The tolerances for each feature are +/-

0.15 mm. The plate is 10 mm thick. Generate a process plan, including drawings, to cast and machine the plates. Use neat sketches and any

necessary notes to explain your approach.(30 marks)
