Assignment 3: Planning Legal Research
Due Week 6 and worth 300 points
Assume you have been tasked to develop a research strategy to be applied to a case of your choice.
Write a four page paper in which you:
Properly cite and describe the case. This should be about half a page.
Evaluate if opinions issued by the Attorney General should be considered and explain why or why not.
Evaluate if you should use a uniform system of citation or use multiple citation systems and explain your reasoning.
Describe the process by which you will update and validate your research.
Your assignment must follow these formatting requirements:
Be typed, double spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides; references must follow APA or school-specific format. Check with your professor for any additional instructions.
Include a cover page containing the title of the assignment, the student’s name, the professor’s name, the course title, and the date. The cover page and the reference page are not included in the required page length.

Develop effective research strategies and conduct effective and efficient research using conventional sources, the Internet, and computer-assisted legal research.
