Create an appropriate subheading for each of the four questions. Then provide your answer (for each question) that fully examines, assesses, or compares the required information. To earn full credit, answers must address the requirements from the rubric. (See attached PDF file) The paper must be 3-5 pages (900-1500 words) total length. In addition, a cover page and reference page are required. Davenport University requires APA format for papers.
1. Based on what you learned from watching the video and reading the “Defining Citizenship and Civic Engagement” piece, examine/explain how “The Project” competition brought together a professional organization, colleges, and business leaders to positively impact the project management field and the community.
2. Assess the impact of the competition. Did this event fill a community need? If you believe it did fill a need, whose need(s) did it fill?
3. Compare and contrast this event to one other college level student competition. (Research other collegiate academic competitions.) Provide specific things that differentiate the two competitions. Did the competition you chose contribute more or less to the community?
4. As you saw in the video, there are corporate professionals who volunteered to act as mentors to The Project student teams. Illustrate lessons learned these mentors and/or the faculty sponsors may have taken away from this event and how they may employ what they learned back at their place of business.
