The paper must weave in
three components: 1) history of the magazine (go to the NY Public Library’s
Periodicals room to check out past issues); 2) analysis of its message, both
over time and today (based on your own interpretation + weaving in one,
preferably 2-3, theoretical source(s): Faludi, Douglas, or Feminist Reader
text, or one of your own choosing); and 3) interviews from at least 2 “real
people” who read the magazine; get information on how it speaks to them and
what they like/don’t like about it.
